The Kootenay‑Columbia Teachers’ Union represents teachers working in School District No. 20. We advocate for safe working conditions, fair collective agreements, professional autonomy, and high‑quality public education for all students.
Our union works collaboratively with members, school representatives, and the BCTF to support teachers at every stage of their careers.
Territorial Acknowledgment
We as KCTU members acknowledge with respect and gratitude the unceded, and contested, and traditional territories of the Interior Salish speaking peoples: the Sinixt (Sin – EYE – k – st) Arrow Lakes, the Sylix (Seelk) Okanagan, and the Secwepmec (Shec-wep-mic) and the Ktunaxa (To-nah-ka) speaking people. We also respectfully acknowledge the enduring presence and struggles of all First Nations, Inuit, and Metis people.
